JOE CRAIG’S

BE SEEN

Soulmarks isn't image-making. It's the preservation of presence, before it fades into history.

For fifty years, Joe Craig has photographed people the way few of us ever get to see ourselves: not posed, not polished into someone else, but recognized. Families, seniors, the milestones worth keeping — made to be handed down.

ART THAT IS GIVEN

NOT SOLD

Through the Soulmarks Foundation, Joe gifts portraits to people who wouldn't otherwise have access to work like this — including the farming families of Missouri, in the Farm Project. As Joe puts it, it's a form of grassroots activism, made with a camera.

Made in the USA
Made to last generations

Every Soulmarks portrait is finished by hand at the Soulmarks Arte Centre and made on materials chosen to last — pieces meant to be lived with and handed down, not files on a phone.
